Krka National Park

The river Krka has carved a limestone gorge scattered with falls and basins for millennia. The most famous stretch, at Skradinski buk, is explored on wooden boardwalks that cross the water from bank to bank. Close to the villa it opens a green and fresh world, ideal even on the warmest days.

You walk among dense woods, historic mills and natural terraces overlooking the whole series of cascades. In some areas you can swim beneath the falls, in clear fresh water. The boardwalks are well kept and allow you to explore the park calmly and safely.

The route calls for comfortable shoes and at least half a day to enjoy it fully. Along the way you find small refreshment points and shaded areas for a break. On the way back the day can end with a seafood dinner in one of the villages along the river.
